Aramark, one of the largest international corporations headquartered in Philadelphia, has announced its intentions to move its headquarters to 2400 Market Street by fall 2018. The property is jointly owned by Lubert Adler and PMC Property Group.
The plan will transform the existing structure, which is otherwise known as the Marketplace Design Center, into a modern, 600,000-square-foot, nine-story building. As the anchor tenant, Aramark plans to occupy the top five floors and 300,000 square feet of space.
In response to Aramark's green goals, the design plan emphasizes green space, innovation and sustainability. Architecture firms Gensler and Varenhorst have designed the building.
The building will include a "state of the art" dining facility to serve the company's 1,200 associates who will be moving to 2400 Market, as well as spaces for collaboration and a fitness center. The plan also calls for 8,000 square feet of outdoor terraces, in response to Aramark's green goals,
