Ethan Penner

Ethan Penner is a Principal with Lubert-Adler.  Mr. Penner is responsible for sourcing and underwriting new investments with a primary focus on opportunities arising from the debt and the securitized markets. 

Mr. Penner has 24 years of experience in the real estate sector.  Prior to joining Lubert-Adler, Mr. Penner was the manager of Penner Global Properties and a founding partner of Pacific Star Capital, both private real estate investment companies, and was the founder and CEO of The Capital Company of America/Nomura Capital, the largest real estate lender in the U.S. during the 1990's and considered to be a pioneer of the CMBS market.  Prior to that, Mr. Penner was a Principal at Morgan Stanley, with responsibilities that included at varying times overseeing mortgage-backed securities trading, sales and finance functions.  Before that he was a MBS trader at Drexel Burnham Lambert. 

For the past few years Ethan has invested in the U.S real estate market, primarily through his Pacific Star Capital and Penner Global Properties vehicles.
